Yes I'm successfully using the Edison Yocto complete image from Edison - Software Downloads specifically http://downloadmirror.intel.com/24389/eng/edison-image-rel1-maint-rel1-ww42-14.zip
I am building it using https://github.com/gmacario/easy-build/tree/master/build-yocto which is based on Ubuntu 14.04.
I'm basically reaching out to see if anyone is building against this new kernel, as it obviously it won't be able to apply
and I don't want to brick my Edison.
This will definately require a BSP layer, and I'm hoping it will build out of box with all the necessary kernel changes for intel-mid already merged into linux-3.19.
Since edison-src is developed without a public facing issue tracker I setup an issue on my own import of edison-src and created a ticket to see if I can find the right folks that way. This forum doesn't seem to be the right location, but I'll be linking back and forth between the two so others can find the information.
As I look more and more at things, going back and trying to write a legacy usb gadget is a bit of a pain... it would be best just to run 3.19-rc4. I will take a closer look at this tomorrow.
