i already found a way to change the result partition layout and create new partitions during flashall
edison.env is the key...
next step is to update first-install.sh and fstab but the important thing is to understand how i could move for example /usr which is part of / into its own partition....
one way could be to mount the rootfs image and move parts into a new ext4 file which could be additionally flashed during flashall...
one important question would be why its impossible with yocto/poky to have different partitions and images at the end
artitioning is one of the core basic functionality during installation of every os
yocto/poky seems to me like back to the roots
Regarding your first question, 768 as root partition size should work but 640 is recommended to be on the safe side. On your other questions I’m not sure I’ll investigate on them.
