    Edison as a wifi bridge

    Rob_Mawston

      Hi,

I'm a relative Linux/yocoto beginner, and I've been trying various things to get my Edison (running the current Intel build) to act as a wifi station and AP at the same time..

Before I spend a lot more time on it , I'm keen to understand if it is possible with the Edison and the Murata / Broadcomm module.

Specifically I want to have the Edison available as an AP for a wireless sensor network, but also connected over wifi to an AP that has internet access, simultaneously.

I've tried adding another interface (VIF?) using 'iw phy phy0 interface add sen0 type managed' and mucked around with hostapd, but not gotten anywhere.

So.... is it even possible with the current drivers etc on the Edison?

      Regards

      Rob
