edison-image-rel1-maint-rel1-ww42-14 actually is the lastest firmware. This was a change in the build numbers that occurred after edison-weekly_build_68_2014-09-08_13-49-07.
You can check your firmware versions by issuing cat /etc/version at the console.
A) edison-weekly_build_56_2014-08-20_15-54-05 -- default on the shipping Edison module
B) edison-weekly_build_68_2014-09-08_13-49-07 -- next firmware released
C) edison-rel1-maint-weekly_build_16_2014-10-14_14-56-19 -- current firmware release (as of 201412-21)
deium Thank you for the answer. I'm on edison-weekly_build_68_2014-09-08_13-49-07, I've downloaded latest Yocto image from Edison - Software Downloads but after performing update I'm still on edison-weekly_build_68_2014-09-08_13-49-07. Is the update procedure same as described in Flashing Edison (wired) - Mac ? I'd like to switch to edison-rel1-maint-weekly_build_16_2014-10-14_14-56-19
if you are still on build_68 and not build_16, it simply means that your flash did not complete.
You should redownload the *ww42 image to make sure there were no errors and follow the steps again.
Ok, what I had to do to successfuly flash the board was to remove all hidden files after copying the files onto Edison partition via Finder and before doing reboot ota. Apparently the leftovers made my previous OTA attempts to fail. Now I'm on edison-rel1-maint-weekly_build_16_2014-10-14_14-56-19
