On the Edison we use SSH to telnet into the console, so you would want to have an SSH client.
issuing netstat -l from the console will show you which ports are available. You will notice port 22 for SSH and no port 23 (telnet)
If you are trying to connect to the webserver port, you could try direct to the server port telnet 192.168.0.6 80
did you tell telnet that it has to connect on port 80 (this is the port normally webservers are listening).
Check first if your 'SimpleWebServerWiFi' really uses port 80. In that case a
telnet 192.168.0.6 80
should do the trick.
