I have Intel eXtensible host 3.0 installed, version 22.214.171.124 and untill now i did not have any problems. I recently purchased Seagate external HDD 2TB and now when I try to backup my files drive drops USB connection and then recconects again which of course stops file transfer. I tested the drive on another laptop on USB 2,0 and it is OK, no drops.
I tried updating with Intel(R)_USB_3.0_eXtensible_Host_Controller_Driver_126.96.36.199 but setup gets interrupted with message that "Setup program has failed to start one or more application processes. Setup will exit" afterwhich Device Manager recognizes USB eXtensible host as updated to version 188.8.131.52 but when I connect 1TB external HDDs, which work perfectly on version 184.108.40.206, pop up appears notifying me that "This device could run faster". Obviously version 220.127.116.11 is not working properly on my machine.
I'm running on ASUS G750JX laptop with Windows 7 Pro 64b.
Please help if you can
