Let me help you with this.
If you are having problems to enter the BIOS it could be that Fast Boot was previously enabled so here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to fix it:
- Turn the NUC completely off.
- Press the power button to turn it on but immediately press it again and hold it for 3-4 seconds.
- Turn it on again.
By doing this, you should see a screen similar than this one:
I tried your suggestion but it didn't help, I still see a blank screen, I can also add that prior to upgrading the bios, when I connected an external USB DVD, I was promoted with "press any key to boot from DVD..." and now when I connected the DVD with a bootable disk I didn't get any prompt, only a blank screen and then windows goes up.
I have done some several more checks:
1. I have checked that BIOS jumper is set to normal mode
2. I pushed the power button and hold it down until I heard three short beeps, I then received the Power Button Menu which enabled me to enter the visual BIOS, I saw that the fast boot is disabled. Once rebooting the NUC I still don't get any prompt and I cant get into the bios via F2
Thank you for sharing this feedback.
