    How to compiling kernel about Quark X1000?

    clayder

      Hi Intel

      My platform about Intel Quark X1000.

      I already to compiling all BSP 1.0.4 about Quark x1000.

      I want to compiling kernel easily.

      So I try to build kernel (in kernel folder).

      [Step1]

      set "CROSS_COMPILE" env

      export CROSS_COMPILE=/opt/clanton-tiny/1.4.2/sysroots/x86_64-pokysdk-linux/usr/bin/i586-poky-linux-uclibc/i586-poky-linux-uclibc-

      export ARCH=i386

      export CC=${CROSS_COMPILE}gcc

      [Step2]

      make clean

      [Step2]

      make i386_defconfig

      [Step2]

      make -j4 bzImage

      Then, I check the bzImage ( in /arch/x86/boot/ ) size is different.

      So How to do just only compiling the kernel?

      Do you have make example script file?

      -----ps----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

      "run_do.compile"   in yocto_build\tmp\work\clanton-poky-linux-uclibc\linux-yocto-clanton\3.8-r0\temp

      Step1 ---> make bzImage  CC="i586-poky-linux-uclibc-gcc " LD="i586-poky-linux-uclibc-ld "

      Step2 --->  gzip -9c < "bzImage" > "arch/x86/boot/bzImage"

      step2 is key point?

      Thanks

      Cy
