Hello Vjg, thanks a lot for posting your inquire at Intel communities.
I was checking this event viewer error and this seems to be a registry issue on the operating system.
I was able to find some troubleshooting steps on Windows community that might help you to fix this behavior. Please check the following URL The system firmware has changed the processor's memory type range - Microsoft Community
thanks for responding, I followed that link before posting here and to no avail (none of the steps helped...continue to get the error only when coming out of sleep and it is everytime). I contacted Intel tech chat yesterday and have a documented chat where the agent indicated that error was harmless...i even reiterated this error and double checked to make sure it was harmless and he stated that is what the computer does when coming out of sleep...so I am confused here..your indicating it is a registry entry in the os and Intel tech states it it's nothing to worry about.
I do appreciate the response but now I am more reluctant to put my computer to sleep hearing that is indeed a registry issue.
Did they provide you a service ticket number VJG?
No, it was support tech chat, I do have a copy of it.

Please find the right information on this error, as now I am more concerned about the sleep function because I need this going all the time but I want to minimize stress to the system and avoid any unnecessary errors.
Thanks so much.
