I have been investigating this issue for a long while and finally I managed to single out this driver as the cause for my system freeze

right now I don't have it installed as it will cause random system freeze and don't know how to resolve this,

would really need some help, thank you

Asentis, since your system has Switchable Graphics it is important to find out on BIOS which is the primary Video port.

On a system with switchable graphics it is necessary to install the Intel graphics drivers first and then Nvidia's.

So please try to install the graphics drivers again.

This link will take you to the latest Intel drivers available for the HD3000

See the link below for more information about switchable graphics: http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-031103.htm Graphics Drivers — Switchable Graphics Feature FAQ

You can also follow these steps:

1. Login with administrator privileges

2. Open Control Panel

3. Open Device Manager

4. Click on "Display adapters"

5. Double click "Intel HD Graphics"

6. Click on the "Driver" tab

7. Click on "Update Driver" button

8. Click on "Browse my computer for driver software"

9. Click on "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"

10. Click on "Have Disk" button

11. Click "Browse"

12. Navigate to the folder that you unzipped the Beta Intel HD Graphics driver to

13.Navigate to the Graphics sub-folder

14. Double click the igdlh64.inf or igdlh.inf file <-- depends on if you have 32 or 64 bit OS</span>

15.Click "OK"

16. Click "Next" driver should now be installing.

17. If successful, click "Close"

Reboot.

Asentis, normally the Dxdiag is a little bit longer and it includes more information from your system.

Would you please try to get it again and send it to me?

Dxdiag Report: Type dxdiag in Start Menu> open> Save> Attach using Advanced Editor Options.

It appears that your system allows only customized drivers because the DXdiag is not showing me any information about ours.

So please try to install the drivers I provide you on post # 2 following the steps I suggested.

Then, please send me the graphics report from your system. Check the following URL; it will give you the steps http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/cs-009476.htm Graphics — Intel® Graphics Driver Report

Asentis, this behavior on your system could be caused because we provided generic drivers; therefore sometimes these cannot be installed on Dell systems or the installation of them could overwrite Dell's customizations and possibly change the functionality of the graphics.

I would recommend using Dell's graphics drivers.

If you are still want to install our drivers, you may try forcing the installation by performing manual procedure, however I cannot assure you they are going to work as expected.

See here for instructions: http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-022355.htm Graphics Drivers — Computer manufacturer graphics driver detected

The following URL will give you some steps you can follow in order to solve the error you are getting "System does not meet minimum requirements"

I suggest you to check if there is a recent BIOS that needs to be installed on your system.

Try installing our drivers by performing the manual procedure. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=23764&lang=eng&ProdId=3319 Intel® Download Center

Are you using the Maximum System memory allowed by the computer?
