    Complier Error with Backslash "\"

    advitya

      Checking email using the Linux machine on the Galileo. Essentially, I am using the following linux commands to check the number of emails on this email account, I have set up. However, the compiler seems to not like backslashes "\" and keeps on giving errors (issues with the backslash). Is there any way to get around this? Does anyone else have a command that does not require a backslash (personally, I am not very familiar with linux).

      The linux command is as follows: curl -u emailid:password --silent https://mail.google.com/mail/feed/atom | tr -d '\n' | awk -F '<entry>' '{for (i=2; i<=NF; i++) {print $i}}' | sed -n "s/<title>\(.*\)<\/title.*name>\(.*\)<\/name>.*/\2 - \1/p" > /dev/ttyGS0

      Also, just for context, I have attached the entire code in place. It basically is an unread email counter.
