I have a Wireless-N 2200 and thank you for your response
These are the latest drivers for this wireless adapter:
- 16.11.0: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=23726
- 16.7.0: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=23493
You may update the router’s firmware and check if the wireless security settings match in both devices in case one of them is using mixed encryption types (TKIP+AES) and the other one does not.
It is also important to bear in mind that most of the interference comes from other devices operating in the 2.4 GHz; such as cordless phones and microwaves. Therefore, the location of the router and the computer may cause an impact on the performance. Try using the least crowded channel and provide the router a good location as antennas usually radiate in a donut shaped pattern.
