I'm new to all this and I'm trying to get a little project completed but I'm having no luck so am finally admitting defeat and asking for help.
I'm looking for a simple example code that just sends strings from the Edison out via Bluetooth. I'm going to read them on the other end using an Android application.
The Android side has plenty of YouTube tutorials and other documentation to help me, but on the Arduino side it all seems to be talking to a Bluetooth shield or external module.
Is it possible to do this without a Bluetooth shield or external Bluetooth dongle using Edison's built-in Bluetooth capabilities?
Also, an unrelated question, is it possible to use the Arduino IDE to program on the mini breakout board or is the Arduino IDE only for the Arduino Board?
Maybe you can check the next two posts, they’re about related subjects, so maybe you can find them of help.
