symlink in Linux image - Galileo

    Thuy

      Hi,

I'm asking about the Linux image for Galileo full image. I'm using Ubuntu 14.04 and BSP v1.0.1. I'm not sure if I did something wrong or it is just like this.

After I built a Linux image successfully, what I got in ./tmp/deploy/images are

      boot

      bootia32.efi

      bzImage

      bzImage--3.8-r0-clanton-20141106221357.bin

      bzImage-clanton.bin

      core-image-minimal-initramfs-clanton-20141106221357.rootfs.cpio.gz

      core-image-minimal-initramfs-clanton.cpio.gz

      grub.efi

      image-full-galileo-clanton-20141106221357.rootfs.ext3

      image-full-galileo-clanton.ext3

      modules--3.8-r0-clanton-20141106221357.tgz

      With $ls -la:

      thuy@thuy-S3-S440:images$ ls -la

      ...

      drwxr-xr-x 3 thuy thuy       4096 Nov  6 22:47 boot

You can see bzImage, bzImage-clanton.bin, core-image-minimal-initramfs-clanton.cpio.gz, and image-full-galileo-clanton.ext3. are all symlinks. Because the sdcard needs to be formatted as fat32 which doesn't support permissions, there is no way I can have those symlinks in the sdcard. From that reason, I can't boot from this sdcard.

      Can anyone please help?

      Many thanks,

      Thuy
