Andras, I was checking the visual BIOS from the DZ87KLT motherboard and it allows enabling or disabling the USB ports only.
Based on the research, this feature is possible but at the Chipset level implementation time for Q87 and Q85 Chipset. But this has not been implemented by design in our boards with Q87 and Q85 chipset.
You can explore more solutions such this one that allows block/disable USB ports: http://www.intel.com/support/software/applications/sba/sb/CS-033348.htm
Ok, thank You very much.
How do You mean that "has not been implemented by design in our boards with Q87 and Q85 chipset" ?
It's physically impossible to resolve the SATA ports independent enable/disable features in INTEL motherboards
a BIOS update can solve this deficiency???
With Best Regards
I will forward your feedback to the corresponding department.
Thanks a lot.
Happy New Year Sylvia
Do You have some news for me?
Happy New Year Andras!!
I really appreciate the time you took when sharing this feedback to us. I already forwarded the information to the engineers.
Please bear in mind that Intel is not assembling Motherboards anymore, therefore this recommendation might be given to the OEM manufactures so they can add this feature to future motherboards based on these chipsets.
Again, thanks a lot for the information.
