There are some power measurements mentioned in the comments of this article: http://www.davidhunt.ie/raspberry-pi-beaglebone-black-intel-edison-benchmarked/
For those, I measured current and voltage into the board, and from that I was able to get the wattage.
would be interesting seeing your report later on ;-) I would be interested in the power management capabilities of the Edison - with pure BLE Beacon type of devices power consumption can be done to less 1uA in "sleep" mode with a TX peak between 20-30mA - with Edison I see much more overhead as BLE might be not in "standalone" mode be active, but any more details by @Intel on the power management would be helpful ...
I want to measure power consumption at run time on Edison board.
Similar to power top.Kindly suggest the method or process.
Yes,Even I'm getting the same error if I'm trying to get the power details through powertop,Cannot able to install pciutils and libnl on the intel edison arduino expansion board. I have tried the IMAGE_INSTALL += "pciutils" and IMAGE_INSTALL += "libnl" in both latest yocto image and meta intel edison image provided in bsp guide ,and flashing on the board, but couldn't download the respective packages on my edison board and getting the below error.
I have already followed the steps of Alex's repository too i.e, from http://alextgalileo.altervista.org/edison-package-repo-configuration-instructions.html but couldn't find the source code and the steps to get the power.
Could you please provide the necessary steps to find the power for each process that is goingon on the intel edison board in one way or the other.Any and every help is appreciated.I'm pinning the screenshot of my error message.
Thanks and Regards,
