Safe removal of Edison module from breakout board

    drazvan

      Hello everyone,

Is it safe to remove the Edison module from the mini breakout board by simply pulling it up or is there some special procedure I need to follow? I want to move it to an Arduino breakout board and I'm not sure how to do it safely (=without damaging the module and/or the mini breakout board).

      Thank you!

I have removed mine several times without damage.  I try to pry it up from the board next to the connector by just pushing up on the Edison between the Edison and the connecting board on the side that the connector is on.  That seem safer to me than pulling up on the entire board, which seem more likely to twist it off due to the extra leverage on the side of the board opposite the connector.
