Can you be more specific about the steps you followed that led you to this error? The more detailed information we have, the easiest it will be to assist you.
This result of comand: systemd-hostnamed.service - Hostname Service
Well, shouldn't matter too much if you don't need to control the hostname via programs. You may "systemctl disable systemd-hostnamed" as well.
Now if i try to connect to my Wifi network Edison don't find anyting.
That should be unrelated to the failing hostnamed. Maybe you could put some more details on how you try to connect as indicated by @Intel_Alvarado
Thank you for reply.
Ok for disable systemd-hostnamed.
While for wifi i have found that it's disabled. (i don't know why...)
root@EDISON01:~# wpa_cli -i wlan0 status
i have found the problem.
I had still on old firmware , i have updated it and all work fine.
I have the same problem
how to update old firmware ?
The following guide works , thanks so much for your information.
I just found that the issue is with a setting
has "PrivateNetwork=yes" set. Commenting / removing this line hostnamectl works fine
