Hello Max, I am sorry to hear that you are having this kind of problems on your NUC.
- Would you please let me have the model number of the SSD you are using?
- You are using a regular SATA driver correct? This is not an M-sata drive?
- Which is the current BIOS version? Did you flash or install every BIOS version?
You can also try to clear the CMOS, and check if the SATA has a partition that is causing this behavior.
I appreciate your response but feel as though you haven't read my message, all the answers are there. It is an HDD not SSD. It is a regular SATA drive. I have tried installing every bios up to fy0039.
I have tried clearing CMOS and this made no difference. I have tried with another drive and this is also now not showing up in the device.
I am sorry if you felt that way. I just wanted to make sure I was getting the correct information in order to provide better support.
This could be a compatibility issue between your NUC and the HDD. This is the list of tested peripherals with this NUC http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/dk-dn2820fyk/sb/CS-034622.htm
Thank you for your reply. I have used your steps to determine that the unit is faulty and have sent it back for replacement.
Thank you for your help.
Thanks for letting me know.
