If your graphics controller is detecting 100 Hz this means the video BIOS of your computer is capable of forcing up to 100 Hz.
Allan, I just found this thread and your comment about the resolution and refresh rate of HD Graphics 4600 at a time when I am on the verge of buying a 1440p monitor. Your message, however, has raised some concerns. I have two connectors on the HD Graphics 4600 – DVI-I and HDMI (I don’t see DP). Looking at the specifications that you posted I’m not sure what I will get. So, would you please spell out for me what I can expect from the two connectors that I have (hopefully 2560 x 1440 @ 60 Hz from HDMI. I assume that DVI-I is the same as DVI and is limited to 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz). Thanks for your help.
