Driver issues, that are not even on Google!

Recently, I bought a new computer (specifications are at the end of this post).

I installed all the latest drivers for both GPUs (one integrated and one additional).

Ever since day one, when I play certain games, I get the following errors:

Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.

The description for Event ID 13 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

\Device\Video3

Graphics Exception: Shader Program Header 4 Error

The description for Event ID 13 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

Graphics Exception: ESR 0x405840=0x8e000010

I wonder if you've dealt with anything like this?

Hi MaxPayne,

Please note the error nvlddmkm is related to the NVidia card so I recommend you as troubleshooting step remove the discrete video card from your computer.

You can update the Intel® graphics driver to latest by downloading the driver here:

I would also recommend updating all drivers in your system and updating the BIOS.
