Node.js/Javascript IDE now available for Edison!

Just wanted to let people know that the Intel XDK IoT Edition launched today.

The Intel XDK IoT Edition is a tool that lets users develop Node.js apps for Edison/Galileo.

      1. On some Edison's you may have to run the following before you can connect to your Edison

      systemctl enable xdk-daemon

      systemctl restart xdk-daemon

      2. The Intel XDK IoT Edition provides some sample code that makes use of the mraa library. If you get an error message saying "can not find mraa" connect your Edison to the internet and run the following

      echo "src mraa-upm http://iotdk.intel.com/repos/1.1/intelgalactic" > /etc/opkg/mraa-upm.conf

      opkg update

      opkg upgrade
