E5-2609 @ 2.40 GHz: If I run 2 on my motherboard, will they both be able to devote processing power to the same application?

Hello, I am new to building computers and I was wondering if I could have 2 processors split power for running the same game if used the processor listed here: http://ark.intel.com/products/64588/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E5-2609-10M-Cache-2_40-GHz-6_40-GTs-Intel-QPI http://ark.intel.com/products/64588/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E5-2609-10M-Cache-2_40-GHz-6_40-GTs-Intel-QPI .

I am sorry for the pleb question, I assume that "Embedded Options Available" probably has something to do with this, but I have not thought about running dual processors before, and do not understand the implications of doing so.

Thank you, and sorry for the pleb question.

Hello John T, I would like to rephrase your question just to make sure I understood. You want to use 2 Xeon E5-2609 on your motherboard/server board, and be able to play a game using the 2 CPUS at the same time.

If this is correct, I'm glad to inform you that this is possible, but it is going to depend in the software you are using. It will be necessary to check the system requirements of the game with the developer and find out if it takes advantage of all processor features.
