Hello to everyone,
I've just bought a new motherboard with intel H81 chipset and I would like to create a RAID 1 array with Intel Rapid Storage. I'm new to IRST.
I have a doubt to clear before creating the array: if a failure of the motherboard occurs, may I recover the data simply by inserting one HDD in any other PC?
In other words is it a real standard RAID1 mirrored array? Or do I need an Intel Controller to read the disks individually out of the array?
Thanks for joining the Chipset community.
I understand you would like to set RAID array on your computer.
I regret to inform you that the Intel H81 chipset does not support Intel® Rapid Storage; therefore, you cannot create any RAID volume on your system.
Please take a look at product specifications here: ARK | Intel® H81 Chipset (Intel® DH82H81 PCH)
