Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 - Driver Update Problem

    IGotNoHoney

Hello guys, I have a huge problem.

Few times a day I get a message:

"Display driver Intel Graphics Accelerator Drivers for Windows 7(R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered."

This is very annoying. Can't even play a game because it shutdowns every time I get that message.

      My system specs:

      Asus N56V

      Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3630QM CPU @ 2.40 Ghz 2.40 GHz

      8 GB RAM

      Windows 7 64-bit OS

      Intel (R) HD Graphics 4000

Currently I have a driver installed from my manufacturers website:

ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download N56VZ

      1. I've tried to update the driver to the newest one which is:

      Intel® Download Center

It does not allow as I get a message: "This operating system is not supported."

      12.png

      2. I've tried to click "Update Driver Software" in the Device Manager and I get a message: "Windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date."

      Which is not at all.

      3. I've tried manual installation from here:

Graphics Drivers — How to Manually Install a Driver in Microsoft Windows 7*

And I can't even do that because when I delete all the drivers, my graphics card shows as VGA Adapter something... And when I am trying to browse for drivers in the folder it's saying something like: "Your graphics adapater has the laster version of driver.. Don't really remember."

I've been on GOOGLE for few days and nothing helps. Can someone give me a hand?

Hello IGotNoHoney, I’m sorry to hear that you are having issues with this system.

It appears that your system is not allowing the installation of generic drivers therefore it will be necessary to contact Asus for additional support or drivers.

This behavior was reported a few months ago; please check this URL for additional information.
