Hi folks, I have gotten past the power problem by getting another dp45sg board, i do believe the other was bad. Now, with only the cd drives, hard drive, 4gb of DDR3, 1.75v hard drive, I was able to get all the way through the installation of Windows XP SP3 without incident. When I tried to restart, it gets to the splashscreen, I see the codes in the lower right corner that stops at 92. I don't seem to be able to get into the Bios.
Windows is loaded on the drive, I just can't seem to get back to it. Will removing the battery help?? if not what else can I try?

bios codes are in this document http://download.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/dp45sg/sb/e35965001us.pdf
92 indicates the keyboard was detected, but apparently it stopped there. You could try another keyboard, but I suspect your real problem is memory. this board is very picky. Try booting with just one stick. If that doesn't work, try a different memory stick.
Did you upgrade the BIOS to the latest already?
Hi folks, the board was bad, it simply stopped working, no fans etc. I replaced it with the same board, put in the same parts that were on the other one, Bingo!
all is working very well now. The memory is OCZ brand, not tested but, working very well.
No, I have not updated the bios yet, I guess that I'm a bit gun-shy since I had the other issues.
I plan to take on that task soon.
