In an attempt to solve another problem (with USB power always on) I changed my BIOS setting so the PC cannot boot from USB devices (I might have changed something else) and next time I booted Windows it found the drivers needed.
So my problem is now solved.
(I just have another with the USB power always on, but that's another thread).
