My NUC will not wake up from hibernation with the mouse. Must use the power button. However it will wake up from the sleep state with mouse action, no problem. If the sleep state would serve your purpose why not try that.?
Because it is not what I'm after. I want to use the NUC as a PVR for unattended recordings (e.g. overnight).
Well, finally I found out what caused the problem. It was not the NUC's BIOS:
In order to allow a Linux installation in parallel to Windows 7, I had Windows 7 configured to use UTC as system time (you can do this by a registry entry). Obviously, this messed up the event handling (timer entries?) to resume from sleep/hibernation at a specific time. After reconfiguring Windows' registry to use standard (local) time again, the sleep/wakeup procedures work as expected. Weired, but 100% reproducable...
The ACPI error messages still exist, so they may correspond to something else.
