I understand you are having problems with the Intel® RST but let me help you with this.
Checking on the computer specifications, it comes with the Intel® Rapid Storage Technology so it will have a folder on the registry for that.
In the case that you installed the Intel® RST *(Rapid Start), try just removing it from control Panel.

The control panel did the trick. I feel stupid for not trying that earlier, thanks! While you're here, mind if I ask what the differance between Rapid Start and Rapid Storage is? They seem to do the same kind of task.
