Hello,
From the link below:
http://processorfinder.intel.com/List.aspx?ParentRadio=All&ProcFam=0&SearchKey=e6300 http://processorfinder.intel.com/List.aspx?ParentRadio=All&ProcFam=0&SearchKey=e6300
The CPU E6300 has got the SL number SLGu9 and has the core stepping R0. It is an Intel® Pentium® Processor for Desktop E6300.
http://processorfinder.intel.com/details.aspx?sSpec=SLGU9 http://processorfinder.intel.com/details.aspx?sSpec=SLGU9
Now if you checked on the Asus Motherboard P5L - 1394 compatibility website:
http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/cpusupport.aspx?SLanguage=en-us http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/cpusupport.aspx?SLanguage=en-us
You will see that the cpu is not on the tested list. So it is not supported from the official Asus compatibility list.
However it does support both Core 2 Duo with core stepping B2 and L2.
Hope this helps a bit.
All the best,
Regards,
Aryan
