Hi All,

I am trying to enable WoWLAN on my lenovo y510p. But once going into device manager and clicking on the wireless adapter, I can see that in the tab power management the option "Allow this device to wake the computer" is greyed out. I run on win 8.1 and the driver version of the wireless adapter is 15.10.3.2. Any ideas how to enable wake on wlan?

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/architecture-and-technology/smart-connect-technology.html Intel® Smart Connect Technology has a feature called "Remote Wake". This feature can be enabled through the main user interface. This feature allows you to remotely wake your system up using the appropriate application from your remote device, even across subnets. This feature is only supported on Intel® Ethernet and wireless network adapters and needs the appropriate Intel® Management Engine built into the platform. Contact your system manufacturer for verification of your system requirements for support for Remote Wake.

Intel® Smart Connect Technology requires features that must be built into the BIOS of your computer system. For this reason, the technology must be included in the computer system at the time of manufacture. If your computer system included Intel Smart Connect Technology, but the feature is not available, make sure that the capability is enabled in your system BIOS. Contact your system manufacturer for instructions on how to access the BIOS.

The question is: does your Lenovo y510p support Wake on Wireless LAN? Have you asked Lenovo?
