The information and the recommendations given by Doc are correct.
I would recommend you checking with the laptop manufacture so they can let you know if you can upgrade your processor or any other device.
Please also check with them if this CPU is fully supported on the laptop and if they allow this kind of modification.
Sometimes, if you make changes on OEM systems, the product is not going to be covered under warranty anymore.
