    NUC BSOD

      Hello,

      we bought 17 NUC (D54250WYKH2)

      we put in each 2 x Crucial DDR3 PC3-12800 4 Go CT51264BF160BJ 1,35v

      and 1 x Kingston SSDNow mS200 mSATA 120 Go

       

      We installed windows 8.1, the drivers from intel support website and the microsoft updates.

       

      The computers reboots with bsod, with

      KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE  - IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL  -  PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA    - 

      SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M

       

      We run some memory test with memtest and it appears that there are errors up to 1200 on one computer.

      But it would be very bad luck, that all the 17 new computers were bads...

       

      We are out of ideas, could someone please help us ?

          Hi Jerome, thank you for providing such detailed information; hopefully I will be able to help you.

          It will be great for troubleshooting purposes if the Blue Screen of Death occurs on every restart so you may try the following and quickly determine the cause:

          1. The memory you are using is compatible, test another pair and see if error reappears.
          2. Check memory settings in BIOS to see if they are default or recommended memory settings.
          3. Update the BIOS incrementally and SSD firmware.
          4. Do a clean operating system installation and wait and see if the issue occurs after each driver is installed, I recommend restarting the system after every installation. This will help find a software related culprit.
