Hi eugenk, the following discussions provide several suggestions about creating a bootable USB drive:
Here you can find more information about tested or compatible USB devices, and recommendations for operating system installation.
- Intel® NUC Kit DN2820FYKH — Tested peripherals
- Intel® NUC Boards and Kits — Customer-reported peripherals
- Intel® NUC — Operating system installation
In regards of the memory issue, you can verify the requirements or try using any of the tested models.
For either issue you may also update the BIOS incrementally.
This was a BIOS version issue. We upgraded from version 0015 to 0034 and now everything works like a charm.
We can confirm that the memory modules (Kingston ValueRAM SO-DIMM 2GB DDR3L-1600, CL11 (KVR16LS11S6/2)) are compatible to the NUC. With the new BIOS version, the 2 GB are detected correctly.
Thanks for the quick help.
