    Build Galileo kernel from linux-stable?

    pmunts

Is it possible to build a working kernel for the Galileo board from one of the stable kernel source trees (preferably the longterm 3.12.x) at kernel.org?  If so, can someone point to a kernel configuration to start from?

I would like to build a kernel in the traditional way, directly from a kernel source tree, without needing any of the Yocto environment.

I believe it is possible but currently we only support kernel configuration and builds from the Yocto source. If you like to use another one I think you need to build it from scratch. Maybe you can check the posts from Debian distributions that are in the community they might give you some guidance on this.
