4K-Support with Intel-GPU on Linux?

Hi,

is 4K supported by any Intel-GPU on Linux? I know that with VA API i can decode FullHD with GPU on Linux, but can i decode 4K also?

You may also have a better chance of getting a response by posting your inquiry in the community of the operating system distribution you plan to use, as well as providing the specific graphics controller model.

i have no device with intel gpu at the moment and i don't know what's the best linux for that. as i've read all haswell can decode 4k and the va api is well supported on linux - better than the amd/ati api. vdpau can't decode 4k.

the problem is that the most linux users are not interessted in 4k at the moment.
