NEED HELP!!! I'm trying to connect my Gateway 4530 GZ laptop to My T.V

-I'm trying to connect my Gateway 4530 GZ laptop to my Sony KV-36VF16 tv useing a VGA to Componnent cable an5d an Intel(R) 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Contoroller with a driver version 6.14.10.4497 dated 02/07/06. When I connect my laptop to my tv i get a picture but it is not clear and is green in color. Any help would be greatful.
