Hello,I wanna ask something.. I have a laptop with this specs :

Processor : Intel Core i3 380M 2.53GHz

RAM : 2GB

VGA : Intel HD Graphics (Core i3)

When I used windows 7,the graphic memory is 762MB and now I am using windows 8.1 pro and the graphic have more memory (1018MB) without add my RAM..

I ever hear from people and read from internet that Intel HD GPU can be improved by add more RAM..

My question is,could I add more memory on my Intel HD Graphic if I add more RAM? and How much the maximum limit of Intel GD Graphic (Core i3) memory?

And is my GPU is Intel HD 3000?

Sorry for my bad english,I hope you will understand what I mean

Thanks for joining the graphics community.

I understand you would like to increase video memory to your graphics controller.

In most cases, the computer manufacturer has already configured the system to use the maximum amount of graphics memory that is possible for your particular computer model. Sometimes you can change these values through BIOS level.

Intel recommends checking with your computer manufacturer if there are tips on increasing the amount of graphics memory for your computer model.

Please bear in mind the processor model i3-380M integrates Intel® HD Graphics, and this is the first generation of Intel® HD Graphics. See here for more specifications:
