Win7 unable to install latest driver for HD 4000, and openCL

I have noticed that similar discussion has already been raised in the forum, yet seems not solved so far.

Same as this post <<a __default_attr="216054" __jive_macro_name="message" class="jive_macro jive_macro_message" data-orig-content="Re: Windows 7 - Intel HD 4000 Install Error" href="">>, I have trouble updating driver from 8.15 to 15.33

1.so far I have tried all three listed version in <<a href="https://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Graphics&ProductLine=Laptop+graphics+drivers&ProductProduct=3rd+Generation+Intel%C2%AE+Core%E2%84%A2+Processors+with+Intel%C2%AE+HD+Graphics+4000" title="https://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Graphics&ProductLine=Laptop+graphics+drivers&ProductProduct=3rd+Generation+Intel%C2%AE+Core%E2%84%A2+Processors+with+Intel%C2%AE+HD+Graphics+4000">Download Center>, and all resulted to :

  • Error: The driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer's manufacturer. Setup will exit.

2.I also tries manual installation, which led to the same result.

(and windows indicate me that 8.15 is the latest version.)

3.And Intel® Driver Update Utility indicated me that:

Product Detectedhttp://www.intel.com/support/graphics/intelhdgraphics4000 Intel® HD Graphics 4000Current Driver Installed8.15.10.2618Newer Driver Available:15.33.18.64.3496 (10.18.10.3496)

I downloaded as instructed, and failed again.

My computer model is Samsung N530U3C

OS: Win7 family (X64)

Core i7-3537U CPU

Does that mean I have to look for manufacturer's support?

In addition, I tried to update because my DaVinci resolve warned me that "No openCL acceleration Hardware is detected"

Does this HD 4000 as well as 3rd Generation Intel® Core™ Processor U Series-based Platform (i guess it is) support openCL?

Best regards,

Tang Qingyuan

Thanks to nic's reply in <<a __default_attr="228870" __jive_macro_name="message" class="jive_macro jive_macro_message" data-orig-content="Re: Windows 8.1 HD4000 cannot update driver" href="">>

after a fully un-installation it worked.

Unfortunately, I still cannot run Davinci T^T

Glad it worked after Nic's recommendations.

Please bear in mind OpenCL is available up to version 1.2 and this is enabled once you install the latest video drivers for your graphics controller.

See the following information about product features:

Hi Allan,

right now my driver version is:

Product Detectedhttp://www.intel.com/support/graphics/intelhdgraphics4000 Intel® HD Graphics 4000Current Driver Installed10.18.10.3496Your driver is current.

but Davinci still told me that:

and details of my computers:

Hope the Chinese doesn't bother you

Thank you again for the advice, and I will also look for support from Blackmagic.

Best,

Thanks for coming back to the communities.

OpenCL driver is installed once you load latest video drivers; see release notes for more information:
