Just check on the wireless configuration on your notebook if they matched the one configured on your Access Point, check the SSID, authentication or encryption (if there is any), and make sure there is IP address on your notebook.

Thanks for your help. Unfortunately its not any thing that simple, pretty sure its comparability related. I'm going to update my bios and see if that helps.
UPDATE. Just got the reply from Acer Support regarding this issue. They have confirmed that the Intel WiFi Link 5300 is not compatibl with the Acer Revo.
