There have been several posts on enabling Bluetooth on the Galileo. Most of them are people having one or more issues connecting. I have not seen a single from 0 to using Bluetooth tutorial yet. (or at least one that did not require building a new Linux image)
So I played around last night with my Galileo, and have come up with some instructions. Please take a look and let me know if I got anything wrong. It took a few tries, and I did not document all of my convoluted steps. I tried to just document the steps needed.
I was able to pair my phone with my Galileo but I have no idea what to do next. Ideally, it would be nice to communicate with my Galileo via Bluetooth. Send commands, receive data. I assume that is typically done via a serial connection?
Things I would like to see and be able to document:
Connecting an Arduino sketch to my phone via bluetooth
Not really sure how to do that. What apps do I need on my phone?
Easily connect to other phones.
I think I had to edit some files in order to connect my phone. Could a random person connect? (like a interactive art display?)
Is it possible to connect a Bluetooth speaker, and play audio?
