Intel HD Graphics 2000 HDMI output problem

I've got an Acer X1930 desktop with an i3-2120 3.30 GHz CPU. OS is Windows 7 64-bit. A motherboard has both VGA and HDMI connectors. I'm getting a decent 1920x1200 image out of VGA, but would like to go digital all the way nevertheless. The display has DVI-D input. Using a brand new HDMI-DVI cable results in no image, as if HDMI output wasn't active at all. Is there an option hidden somewhere to turn HDMI on? Or is the cable of the wrong type? This is what I'm using. I've also tried lowering the resolution, but to no avail.
