Hi boldstripe, thanks for your message. I noticed your post and tried 0028. This solved the standby/resume problem, however this BIOS does spin the fan to a loud 3250 rpm. Trying to set it lower doesn't work as this BIOS version contains severe other bugs. E.g. when I set the lower duty cycle to something other than default the fan speed information just disappears in the BIOS (i.e. empty graph, no rpm number) and the fan is still loud. Also changing the maximum duty cycle introduce similar problems. The only setting that works is setting it to manual mode with a value of 0. Then the fan is completely switched off which I don't want.
I really wonder if Intel is testing its BIOS before releasing it...
BIOS 0028 also makes the fan louder for me, although I had not really noticed it until you pointed it out and it is still not exactly loud.
I suppose Intel might say that we're using unsupported systems. So, if anyone using one of the officially supported Windows OS systems experiences the same behavior, please post here.
