My tests with different drivers for this component of my laptop is leading to hardware failure. I may be wrong, this is why I am posting my experience with my laptop. Any date of driver I install into my laptop, after restarting the laptop after installation, the laptop will shutdown and restart after start up windows screen for windows 7. I uninstall the driver for the Intel HD Graphics and I will be able to log in as normal but with the graphics not working. Is there any solution to this or is my graphics in my laptop failed?

Hi KirbysPC,

Let me help you with this issue.

I would like you to uninstall the current graphics driver and install the latest we have for your system. You can download it at the following link:

If you get problems during the installation, try the steps at the following link:

/docs/DOC-22542 https://communities.intel.com/docs/DOC-22542

Besides this, you can try updating the BIOS and other drivers provided by the Computer Manufacture to ensure the correct functionality.

Hello Kevin,

Thank you for your response. I have done both updated the bios restarted, updated the graphics driver with the current update, restart and same issue by turning off when about to load windows up to login screen the computer shuts off and restarts. I go to safe mode, uninstall the driver for the Intel HD Graphics 3000 and I can log into windows normal but with no graphics. I have not only tried the current drivers for this device, i have tried older versions of this driver and all give me the same issue. No error messages, just shuts down the computer during start up after the Windows logo. Im down to one resolution, either processor is going bad, hardware issue, or bad configuration somewhere I can not find.

I completely understand and well it seems in fact that can be something at the hardware level. Since you have installed the driver and it is not working there may be something else affecting the system so I would recommend you contacting your Computer Manufacture for them to check the unit.
