Hello Benoit, I’m sorry to hear you are having issues installing Rapid Start on your NUC.
- It is necessary to enable this feature on BIOS.
- Under “Power” please set the Hibernation times as “immediate”
- Please make sure you are installing the correct version of the software 32 bit or 64 bit.
The following is the more recent guide available. On page 22 you will be able to find information about the error you are getting
This is the latest version for this NUC https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=2557&DwnldID=23292&keyword=intel+rapid+start&lang=eng
This is actually the guide i follow. The issue is at step where I need to SET the ID to 84.
This does not work.
A message tells me the argument is incorrect. I am Under Windows 8.1 64 bits.
My disk is not GPT, i tried also to set the ID to the GPT code, that was accepted but after reboot I still could not install the driver.
I have only SSD drive of 256 GB (crucial M500) on which Windows 8.1 x64 is installed. I installed my system with AHCI BIOS enabled.
I follow all the steps and have enabled everything in the BIOS.
SETID=84 does not work.
Anyone to help ?

Ok i figured it out.
i had to use the gpt id code but i was typing ll instead of 11.
Procédure is fine, maybe putting code in capital can additionnaly clear this.
Perfect, I'm glad to know it is working,
