I believe that the problem is that this version is for the Quark and is not validated yet with the Galileo. Regarding the HMB I’ll do some research to see if I can find something about it.
I've found that this error is not just happen when using the Sleep/wake up function.
Today When i'm playing the GPIO. It suddenly happen and reset the Galileo.
May I know is there any version of firmware is already fixed the reboot issue(Which 0.75 is not yet fixed). and that is already validated?
Currently the only validated version for the Intel® Galileo is the 0.7.5, but the version 0.8.0, 0.9.0 and 1.0.0 were reported by the users to have the reboot issue fixed
If you check the release notes you will see that S3 (sleep) has not been validated, not even in 1.0 yet. This is work currently in progress, to be delivered in a future release.
HMB stands for
Host Memory I/O Boundary (HMBOUND) IMR
The problem is in access violation. HW generates fault events when some device tries to access forbidden area in the address space. Firmware thinks the only way is to reboot the device. This IMR technology is designed to provide more secure environment, though seems no one is really use it.
