Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool (32 Bit 2.8.0.0-1), won't run properly on my P3\700 mobile (Intel # SL3Z8 or SL4JZ Not sure), The Window displays Ok, Testing bar progresses just fine but nothing else happens for hours. I get an Dialog box with " unhandled win32Exception" error
Info Page for "Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool" shows support for "Intel® Pentium® Processor for Mobile" and "Intel® Pentium® 4 Processors". Since P2 & P3 fall between pentium & P4 . Are they not also covered
BTW --The "Frequency Id utility" runs fine
Thank You

Hi P3_700,
I am sorry you are having this problem with the system but let me help you out.
I regret to say that the Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool works for newer processors only. You can check at following link (end of page) the processor that supports the application:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=19792 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=19792
The Pentium III is an Legacy product by now and the Pentium processor mention on the Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool are the newer with Intel® Core architecture.

Thanks Kevin
It would be nice if they didn't Re-Purpose old Names. For me a Pentium came after the 486 and before the P2. Why Not call it something new or original like. "Pentium Dual Core". Perhaps Ford will introduce next years model, the "Model-T"
Thanks Again!!
