Hi,

we tried to boot Bay trail on new bay trail10 inch tablet, but this tablet has only uefi boot possibility, we could not manage to boot with linux.

On bay trail NUC board you have legacy boot option, and with this option it is possible to boot linux. Is is possible to change bios with legacy option?

Has anyone managed to bootbay trail tablet with linux?

Regards.

Hi display,

I am sorry you are having problems with this but let me help you.

It is very important to mention that the options at the BIOS level on branded systems (OEM) depend on the Computer Manufacture. They also can set limitations and choose what options will be displayed.

Hi Kevin,

We managed to boot linux with uefi boot on odm-Winn Tc BYT-T WT1006IN4. So far so good, but there are no linux drivers available for realtek 8723BS wireless bluetooth device. Where can we find drivers??? Can it be that realtek has these linux drivers, but has them not publiced yet?

Kind regards.

From our side there are no Linux drivers available for that Controller so in that case I think it is better for you to contact the manufacture directly so they can provide the information.

Hey Kevin,

What is the procedure to enter the BIOS on a baytrail tablet?

Do i have to connect a keyboard using a Micro-USB to USB converter or is there some other way. Prefer not to use a keyboard, but if i do, the converter does not seem to allow the keyboard to be detected either!

Honestly I am not totally sure how to access the BIOS in your tablet but I found a link that can be helpful for you:

Thanks for your reply Kevin, unfortunately doesn't help me too much. I need to know how to achieve this on an Android tablet not Windows

I understand. In this case the best option is for you to contact the manufacture for further instructions and support.
