      Hi all,

with DX58SO, latest BIOS and Windows 7 x64, I see continuosly in the system event log the followig messages:

      Log Name:      System

      Source:        Microsoft-Windows-WHEA-Logger
      Date:          7/23/2009 10:09:08 AM
      Event ID:      17
      Task Category: None
      Level:         Warning
      Keywords:
      User:          LOCAL SERVICE
      Computer:      ludwigtest0
      Description:
A corrected hardware error has occurred.

      Component: PCI Express Root Port
Error Source: Advanced Error Reporting (PCI Express)

      Bus:Device:Function: 0x0:0x3:0x0
      Vendor ID:Device ID: 0x8086:0x340a
      Class Code: 0x30400

I have a Radeon 4870 card (Catalyst 9.7 driver) in a PCIe 16X slot and a 3ware RAID card (latest driver) in the PCIe 4x slot.

Anyway the system apparently works fine.

Same behaviour with previous BIOSes, drivers and also with Linux Fedora 11. In the case of Linux errors are generated by AERDRV kernel driver and tell about "PCIe corrected errors". So the behaviour is the same in the two OS environments.

At this pont I cannot understand if these warning are hardware or software related.

      Best regards.

      Stefano
