I'm using the ( Alex image of Linux with development tools (Re: Collaborating to develop a fully loaded version of Linux which is Arduino IDE Compatable ). Now I would like to install apt-get on my board as it's a very handy tool when you are a new to Linux like me.
I found that dpkg may help me but I can't make it work.
As apt-get comes with any new recent versions of Linux it's uneasy to find tutorials on how to set it up. So if someone has succeeded to do so, or know how to do it, it would help me a lot.
I'm sure I'm not the only one looking for that tool
Thanks for your help,
To use the apt-get command I believe you can follow the advice of create/modify your own image to add this tool or use one the images mentioned in the following discussion Re: Running full-fat linux distro on Galileo board. .
